Abstract

There was a time when PTV mostly presents positive values in light of Islam in TV dramas. These production objectives were to strengthen family system, promoting empower women and curbing negative believes of society.PTV prime time was not only doing character building of society but it also provide entertainment to masses in positive manner.As time passed that golden era turn into ashes. After year 2000 private television channels started their transmissions in Pakistan and their copied Indian content which was mainly focus on broken families. Private drama industry reputedly copied that material on name of rating and promotes such content which is totally against the preaching of Islam and it also damages our social norms.Aristotle declares drama as a nature of human. If someone tries to pollute said nature with negative traits than outcome can be seen as a declining of morals and ethics of society.Content analysis of 2015 popular TV drama series and reviews of famous drama industry people is part of this research.
