The Role of China in Afghan Peace Process: An Evaluation of News of International Media

The geostrategic position of Afghanistan in the world has made it a center of concern to all the regional and global powers. Consequently, the region is also being a hotbed of issues throughout the history. China as a regional economic and global soft power has played a significant role in the region and also make admirable efforts throughout, in building and maintaining Peace in Afghanistan. The research is a qualitative analysis of role of China in Afghan Peace through the assessment of news disseminated in international media. The economic aspects of China and Afghan relations are also discussed in it, side by side the role of media in the whole process. The article explains that China has a number of interests in Afghanistan so, peace is Afghanistan is of prime importance for China. Among the main interests are the economic interests and security interests that China has in this region. By achieving these interests China can take more benefits in its BRI project and also in maintaining peace in own Xinjiang region.
