پریس کی آزادی کے مختلف نظریات کے تناظرمیں مقبوضہ کشمیر میں آزادی صحافت کی صورتحال اور اس پر بی بی سی (ڈاٹ کام اردو)کی تنقیدی کوریج کا ایک جائزہ

Abstract

The freedom of speech and expression is of paramount importance and the Press is undoubtedly the most powerful watchdog of public interest. A free press stands as one of the great interpreters between the Government and the people.
Government measures, against the media in Kashmir, show that there is no freedom of press in Kashmir. In Kashmir, Journalists and their organisations also complain that they do not have freedom of press. A Bbc.com (Urdu web site) coverage related to this has been presented to take an overview of the fact that how much freedom of press have been given by Indian state, in Kashmir. The result of this research shows that, in Kashmir, Indian state is following “Authoritarian theory” of press.
